Why put it on your list?
Built in 1939–40 for the Rosenbaum family, this is the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structure in Alabama. The city museum preserves the house's cypress, glass and brick construction and examples of Wright-designed furniture.
A guided visit brings architecture into a trip otherwise focused on music and food. Consult the museum for current visitor arrangements and accessibility questions, and leave time around your tour rather than treating it as a quick exterior stop.
Make it part of your trip.
